History
DCCB began in 1985 with an original membership of 13. Over a span of 25 years, under the leadership of its founder, Patricia Keilen Jackson, the band thrived and attracted much of its current membership. Continuing to grow in size over the years, the band is currently conducted by Nicole Leppala.
DCCB is proud to perform in local area venues such as the Lake Lansing Community Band shell in the "Sounds of Summer" Concert Series, The DeWitt Ox Roast, the DeWitt Public Library, DeWitt's fall children's event "Pumpkin Palooza", St. John's "Mint Festival", and seasonal concerts in many of the retirement communities in the greater Lansing area. DCCB finds that educating and sharing the gift of music with the people in its surrounding communities a most rewarding experience.
DCCB would like to thank DeWitt Community Education for its support over the last 40 years and its continued support for the musical arts.
